On the 25th of April, 2014, Ana decides to invite for dinner the women of her life. Among her female family members, she also invites her best friend Luísa and the former family maid, Rosa, with whom her mother and she keep a close relationship. Throughout dinner time, all of them share their stories and memories of the past and present, starting with Ana, who remembers the Carnation Revolution, the day she turned 20.
The 5 episodes of the mini-series take place during Ana’s dinner with flashbacks of the twentieth century, from the 1920s, 30s, 40s, 70s and finally the new millennium.
It is a portray of the changes in the female’s conditions with the Carnation Revolution, on 25 April 1974, and it also deals with the evolution of customs and mentalities that affected these women from different generations.

Created and directed by Henrique Oliveira, April’s Women is an autobiographical work of himself and the experiences and memories that he went through.

Nominated for best edition series of 2014 at the Áquila Television Awards;
